Go Vespa!

A community on the move

The Vespa legend began and grew with the sale of the first models. So much so that, as early as 1946, many people wanted to associate themselves with the name. Thus Vespa Clubs were founded: first in Italy and then abroad, we saw the start of a long story of passion and a sense of belonging to an increasingly global community. This culminated with the founding of the Vespa World Club in 2006, to coincide with Vespa's 60th birthday.

The growth of Vespa riders clubs was closely tied to Vespa sales on international markets and the development of its extensive service network. By 1953, there were over 10,000 Piaggio service stations worldwide, including in Asia and America. In the same years, over 50,000 fans joined Vespa Clubs worldwide.

Riding a Vespa became synonymous with freedom, the use of space and more relaxed social relations. The Vespa became a social phenomenon that appeared incessantly in films, literature and advertising campaigns, as well as in the behaviour of a society in rapid and profound transformation. Now, as always, Vespa unites an extraordinary community of globe-trotters for whom the street is a stage on which to express themselves, to feel part of a group that transcends geographical borders and breaks down social barriers.
