The Piaggio Historical Archive contains material about Piaggio from its origins in the late 19th century through to the present day, covering all its fields of operation.
Created thanks to the painstaking research begun by Tommaso Fanfani in the mid-1990s, the Historical Archive was opened to the public in March 2000.
The Archive contains a rich variety of material, in terms of both content and media (paper, photographic, digital, video) and is an invaluable source not only for the reconstruction of the history of one of the most important metalworking companies of the postwar period, but also for an analysis of social, economic and cultural change in Italy since the end of the 1800s. The Archive continues to grow as material is acquired from internal offices and from private citizens.
Access to the Archive for research work is free, exclusively by appointment, from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm.
